Prentiss Earl III
Prentiss Earl III is an advocate for financial education, an accomplished business developer, and a serial entrepreneur.
Prentiss serves as Lead Innovation Specialist – Education Practice at CommunityAmerica Credit Union’s Innovation Lab. He and his team have gamified financial education and delivered it to over 3,000 students throughout the Kansas City area.
Prentiss served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Kauffman Foundation, whose mission is to unlock opportunities for people to achieve financial stability, upward mobility, and economic prosperity – regardless of race, gender, or geography. Prentiss' work connected Black & Latinx technologists to Silicon Valley and was featured in Fast Company, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Bloomberg, USA Today, Vox, TechCrunch, CNN Money, NPR, Black Enterprise, New York Business Journal, Wired and Fortune.
In his role as Director of Entrepreneurship at Notre Dame de Sion School in collaboration with Burns & McDonnell, Prentiss and his team created a program that engaged students to address real-world problems in their community. Notably, one group of students collaborated with Young Family Farm, a farm in Kansas City's urban core, assisting them in developing a highly effective social media strategy that resulted in a quadrupling of sales within one week of implementation. This led to features in Forbes and Le Journal Live.
Prentiss received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from MidAmerica Nazarene University as well as his bachelor's degree with honors from the University of Kansas.
